Some minor cosmetic changes have been rolled out, whilst keeping the familiar look and feel of previous versions.


      Simple app creation: There is no need to be a developer to create and share apps using Microsoft Access 2016. Take things further than desktop database creation, with simple tools that allow you to create applications to run your business more effectively. Store data in a range of cloud databases for enhanced security and ease of sharing. Choose from a selection of new, pre-built app templates to get off to a flying start, or create a custom app.

      Enhanced customization: Create apps to suit you and your business and easily update your app as the needs of the business evolve. Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is available to create well-designed, user-friendly forms.

      Improved data source integration: Use the connector library in Microsoft Access 2016 for more ways to integrate data from a variety of apps and data sources. See your data from external data sources in the well-known Access interface, for ease of understanding.

      Note that Access Services is required to enjoy some of the enhanced features available in Microsoft Access 2016. This is available separately as part of certain SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server 2013, and Office 365 offers.
